Originally built in 1540 and further enhanced in 1739, the stunning Palladian Mansion that is Ston Easton Park is rich in history and contains many fine antiques. The local area also features many fine properties to visit and stories to discover.
Arrive in time for cream tea in one of our splendid drawing rooms and join General Manager, Ian Jupp for a personal tour of the house. He will regale you with tales from a bygone age, point out the various interesting antiques, take you to the preserved Edwardian kitchen below stairs and even tell of an 18th century murder.
This evening you may choose to dine in the Sorrel Restaurant or visit one of the local restaurants and pubs.
After a hearty full English breakfast your personal blue badge tour guide will arrive to escort you on a personalised tour. The day will be tailored to your requirements but there will be no shortage of places to visit. You may like to visit the historic city of Wells with it's medieval Cathedral and Bishops Palace, Glastonbury to tour the ruined Abbey, climb the Tor and hear of King Arthur and the Isle of Avalon, or the famous cities of Bath and Bristol with all that they have to offer. The guide will accompany you in your own car and the tour will last six hours including a lunch stop of your choice.
Arrive back at the house with time to explore the gardens and relax before dinner and another overnight stay.
