Three ways to spoil dads this Father’s Day
22nd May 2017
Spoil dad and give him a day to remember with our delightful diary events this June…
Beginning with a delicious Sunday Luncheon on Father’s Day itself, dads can dine on mouth-watering dishes in our award winning Sorrel Restaurant. Making the day all the more pleasurable, we will also include a tour of our new wine cellar where dads can browse our collection of fine wines and vintages – leaving with their very own gift to take away.
If dad relishes antiquity and tales of yesteryear, our guided History Tour is ideal.  Our resident Historian will uncover stories of the past and encourage guests to explore our hidden gems including the Library, Saloon and one of England’s earliest surviving Print Rooms, all adorned with antique furniture and fine art. The tour will conclude with a delicious afternoon tea.
With 35 acres of private 18th century parkland, dads who love the outdoors can enjoy a guided Garden Tour around our majestic estate. Designed by the great English landscape architect, Humphry Repton, we are proud to be the last remaining Repton landscape in Somerset. A visit to the impressive Victorian Kitchen Garden is a must, which still supplies the hotel kitchen with almost 60% of its fresh produce today. Afterwards, dads can enjoy a tasty two-course lunch, accompanied by a glass of wine.
For those wishing to really spoil dads, overnight accommodation in one of our opulent bedrooms is available from £170.00 based on two people sharing, including breakfast the following morning.
Perhaps an early Father’s Day celebration with sparkling Champagne is more up his street?  Then why not join us at our Laurent-Perrier Champagne Evening with five-course tasting menu accompanied by fine examples from the Laurent Perrier collection – all enjoyed amidst our magnificent setting.  To prolong the luxury evening, overnight accommodation in one of our Classic rooms is available from £135.00.
